Overview of the Department

Department of Youth Welfare is a vibrant division in the University that works consistently on the welfare and all round development of the youths of Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari districts of Tamil Nadu. It constantly motivates and empowers the young minds, by facilitating their personality development, career development, voluntary services and talent enrichment. The Department promotes various aspects of student welfare such as counseling and career

guidance,skills training, Youth Red Cross, health enhancing activities such as Yoga, cultural festivals and competitions and implementation of government and non government sponsored youth projects.

Vision:

  • To empower the youths of Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari by helping them identify their talents and nurture them by providing opportunities in various welfare programmes.

Mission:

  • Conducting Youth Development Seminars and workshops
  • Promoting talents through involvement in Cultural competitions
  • Upliftment of Youth by organizing placement opportunities
  • Building social values amongst the youth through their participation in community services
