The Equal Opportunity Cell of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University was established since October 2008, it conducts Coaching classes for students of SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) /Minorities of Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Tuticorin District besides students from the University. Coaching Classes to the University department students in areas where the students experience difficulties
The Coaching classes for IAS/IPS, Bank & TNPSC
Coaching Classes for National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test for Lectureship (SLET).
To make the coaching classes more effective, computer systems with internet connections and study materials for Competitive Examinations and NET/SLET Examinations are available in the Equal Opportunity Cell for student’s references. The Equal Opportunity Cell is open to all the students and they can avail the facilities in all working days. Space for reading and a separate computer work station are provided for students.
Equal Opportunity Cell for Universities emphasis to the deprived groups for learning and creating space for them to mainstream themselves, the Equal Opportunity Cell runs specific schemes of coaching for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBC(Non-creamy layer), Minorities in order to enhance the employability and success of the students.
