Established at the university's inception, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering stands as a pillar of academic excellence and innovation. We proudly offer a range of advanced programs, including M.C.A, M.Sc. in Computer Science, M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, and Ph.D. pathways, all designed to equip our students for the challenges of tomorrow.
Our M.E. and M.C.A. programs are accredited by the AICTE, New Delhi, ensuring that our curriculum meets the highest national standards. Our commitment to research and development has attracted significant financial support from various esteemed domestic funding agencies. Notably, we secured Rs. 20 lakhs in grants from UGC (SAP-I) during 2008-2013 and were awarded a substantial Rs. 4 crores through the World Bank-sponsored TEQIP-II program to enhance our postgraduate engineering offerings and research initiatives. Additionally, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) recognized our potential, granting us Rs. 59 lakhs under the FIST program from 2013 to 2018. Recently, we received Rs. 50 lakhs through the UGC-SAP II Scheme for the period 2018-2023.
Our faculty comprises 12 distinguished members, all holding Doctorate degrees in their respective engineering disciplines. They have collectively supervised the successful awarding of 100 Ph.D. degrees, fostering a vibrant research culture that encourages students to engage in projects with meaningful societal impact.
