Govindaperi is a small Village in Cheranmahadevi Taluk in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu State, India. The College comes under Karisalpatti Panchayat. It is located 18 KM South of the District headquarters and about 8 kms from Cheranmahadevi bus station. The College is situated on the Cheranmahadevi-to-Kalakad road. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University College, Govindaperi, is governed by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. It was established in the year 2000 in a rented building then it was shifted to a newly constructed own building in Govindaperi, were it was inaugurated by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Cynthia Pandian on 1.3.2008. Former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu, Mr. P.H. Pandian, donated 5.5 acres of his land for establishing the College.
