Dr. Venkatesh began his academic career as a Lecturer at Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirappalli, in 2007, where he laid the foundation for his teaching and research expertise. He later served as a Junior Research Fellow on a DRDO Project (Defence Research and Development Organisation) from 2008 to 2010 , gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge biotechnology research. Subsequently, he joined Anna University as a Visiting Faculty from 2010 to 2016 . Since 2016, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, where he continues to excel in teaching, research, and mentorship.
