Dr.J.Sacratees did M.A in Economics at Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Chennai and got M.Phil and Ph.D. degree from the University of Madras. After completion of my doctoralresearch, joined as a Research Associate in the project entitled, “Facilitating Negotiation over Water in Peri-uban Catchments (NEGOWATT) funded by DFID for a period of two years at Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS). I served as a Research Associate in the preparation of State Environment Report of Maharashtra (SoER). It was an umbrella programme of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), Department of Environment (DoE), Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF), Government of India at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai for a period ofsix months. I joined as an Assistant Professor of Economics on 2 nd January, 2006 and promoted to Associate Professor of Economics on 02.01.2018 and elevated to Professor of Economics on 02.01.2021 to till date at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli-12.
