Department of English
English is the language of the
world. It is no longer the language of the colonizer nor is it confined to literature alone. It has acquired a
multi-faceted dimension in the global context, and the department of English has risen to the occasion.
Department of English -earlier part of the Madurai-Kamaraj University Extension centre- is one of the very first departments established
in our University in 1990.
We have seven faculty members and Prof. S. Ravindranathan has been heading the department since its inception
in 1990.
We have an office with one junior assistant, one lab technician and an office assistant.
